Flying Cars Are Here. No, Really

We might be cruising the skies in flying cars sooner than you think. This tech startup, Alef Aeronautics, is cooking up a $300k ride called the Model A – and they've around 3,000 preorders already.

That's a lot of people ready to ditch the traffic jams and take to the air!

Alef Aeronautics has been granted testing certification for its vehicle, which is the first non-drone like flying car that looks decent (like a real car). Alef can boast that its Model A is the first fully electric vehicle that can both drive and fly to receive U.S. government approval.

The CEO, Jim Dukhovny, spilled the beans to CNBC back in March that all these sky commuters have all prepared for the inevitable move from hilltops & high rises to the clouds. Dukhovny called it "one small step for planes, one giant leap for cars."

This two-seater is all-electric, with a driving range of 200 miles and a flight range of 110 miles. Imagine cruising down the street and then, bam, you're soaring above the traffic like a boss.

The Model A is set to start deliveries in Q4 of 2025, so mark your calendars! With FAA approval out of the way, only a few safety tests and final the model's mass production stand  between today and next year's skyward launch.

If the Model A is a bit out of your budget, don't sweat it.

Alef Aeronautics is working on a $35,000 four-seater sedan called the Model Z, set to drop in 2035.

So buckle up, folks, the future is looking pretty fly.
