Peanut butter was first introduced in the United States in the late 1800s by none other than Dr. John Harvey Kellogg. It was marketed for its health benefits, of course being a big source of protein. Soldiers in World War II used peanut butter for its nutritional value since it was easy to store.

According to Southern Living, the best peanut butter cookies only take 20 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to bake! A quick trip to the favorite super market and you only need a handful of ingredients to enjoy this tasty treat alongside a game of Bingo.
