Jalapeno Popper Wontons

If your sitting around watching a movie or outside enjoying the weather these Jalapeno Popper wontons will spice up your day.

Thanks to our member Harley0494 for sharing this recipe with us.

  • 3 large jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced
  • 4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg, plus one tablespoon of water whisked together
  • 19 wonton wrappers, store-bought or homemade
  • cooking spray
  • ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl combine diced jalapeños, bacon, cream cheese, Monterrey jack cheese, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  • In the middle of each wonton, place about 2 teaspoons of the jalapeno mixture. (Be careful to not overfill the wontons so they don't burst while frying.)
  • To fold your wontons, dip your finger in the whisked egg wash and rub it around the edges of the wrapper, folding it in half diagonally and press to seal. (You can also use circular wrappers for this recipe.)
  • Place the wontons in the air fryer basket in a single layer, spray with cooking oil and then air fry at 350°F for 5 minutes. (Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to work in batches.)
  • Flip over the wontons, spray again with cooking spray, and cook for an another 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining wontons.

Serve hot with ranch dressing for sure.
