Did you know? The sap of the maple tree, the same sap used to make maple syrup, makes a refreshing drink. Just put it in the refrigerator and pour a drink whenever you want. Or, have a drink as you harvest the sap from the tree!

Some facts about Maple Syrup

  • A single tree can produce up to 15 gallons of maple sap in a season.
  • It takes 40 gallons of maple sap to make one gallon of thick syrup.
  • In 2018, pure maple syrup sold for $33.80.
  • U.S. maple syrup production was 4.2 million gallons in 2019.
  • Meanwhile, up north, Canadians produced over 13 million gallons of maple syrup in 2019.
