Our resident cook, Barb, has perfected a recipe that uses frozen tart shells as a time-saving hack, allowing you to whip up these delectable treats in no time.
Recipe for Raisin Butter Tarts
Butter Tart Filling Ingredients:
- ½ pound butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup milk Raisins or pecans (as desired)
Frozen tart shells Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix well, allowing some small pieces of butter to remain.
- Place a few raisins or pecans in each frozen tart shell, then spoon the filling mixture into the shells, filling them to just below the top.
- Bake the tarts for 15-20 minutes, or until the tart shells are a beautiful golden brown and the filling has a light brown top.
